We are seeking an experienced Project Manager Upstream & Discovery for our Nutreco Exploration (NutEx) team to be responsible for overseeing the implementation, management, and continuous improvement of operational platforms and models, particularly focusing on delivering on NutEx’ portfolio. This role is crucial in the successful launch of Nutreco’s Garden of the Future’s first products to market, and creating awareness around the activities of Nutreco’s Garden of the Future.
 

About The Role: Driving Discovery Driven Planning

• Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for the continuous improvement of the NutEx platform. Train team members in its use and audit its effectiveness.

  • Manage and owning the review meeting to keep track on the progressions of NutEx projects’ and overall portfolio's value creation.

  • Support project owners and business partners by providing management to ensure that business cases are up to date and realistic with regular reports on project budgets.

  • Drive and sustain the sustainability roadmap for Nutreco’s Garden of the Future (NuGaFu) products, while supporting the creation and execution of sustainability initiatives across the NuGaFu supply chain and community development.

  • Drive the monograph creation process from start to finish, supporting the product owner with IP checks, version maintenance, and distribution management, while continuously improving the design and content.

  • Manage Nutreco’s Garden of the Future’s  visit agenda, ensuring an optimal customer experience by understanding their purpose and partnering with key business owners.

  • Be responsible for the creation, development and maintenance of NutEx and NuGaFu communication materials in collaboration with content owners, communication specialists and other stakeholders, as well as coordinating the organization of their events.
     

Skills and Expertise

• Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in science (e.g. life sciences, chemistry, nutrition, veterinary medicine or animal husbandry); and/or innovation management, business administration.

  • Experience and/or a good understanding of supply chain, quality and regulatory and/or new product discovery and development in the context of animal feed industry is a preference.

  • Fluency in English and effectively communicating and networking with business stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools.

  • Willingness to travel for business (up to 40% of your time, mainly to Arbon, Switzerland).

  • Soft skills like analytical strength, collaboration, adaptability, good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
