Job Description

Long term footprint:
o Develops, maintains and documents, policies, processes and procedures for
- Safe and legally compliant warehousing and logistics operations
- Efficient and cost-effective storage and movement of materials and products within the warehouse and throughout the production system.
- Own or 3rd party logistics to insure proper operations..
o Analyses and reports on the performance, capacity, and volume of warehousing and logistics activities for use in short- and long-term strategic planning.

Warehouse and Inventory Management:
o Ensures receipt of finished products according to company procedures (labeling, dating, FIFO principles, etc.) and oversees placement into warehouse. Monitors the space layout plan utilization to ensure it continues to meet company standards.
o In charge of inventory accuracy and assets though stock take / inventory controls and monitor / root cause analysis and actions in case of variations
o Works closely with other functions (production, planning, S&OP, Purchasing…) and production facilities to ensure that adequate and appropriate inventory and storage is available to meet customer demands. Takes actions to remedy as needed.
o Resolves complex issues arising from variances with relevant parties (suppliers, production, customers, customer service, finance and 3rd parties)
o Oversees the accurate and timely data entry of all warehouse and related activities into software applications and databases

People management:
o Provides leadership to his / her area (i.e. setting individual objectives, reviewing performance and providing ongoing feedback on a(n) (in)formal basis) so that all reports are aware of what they are required to achieve and how they are performing against their objectives. Develops and directs all warehouse personnel, logistics personnel and drivers to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation and utilization of the facility, motivates employees through sincere and concrete feedback and take appropriate action when needed, stimulate team cooperation and mobility and ensure that staff are deployable (quantitatively and qualitatively) and willing to and capable of realizing the set objectives

Performance Management:
o Maximizes delivery efficiency and pickup/delivery performance. The scope of movements includes all items moving between 3PL warehouses, outside warehouses, and customer/vendor locations.
o Reviews and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly reports to ensure warehousing and logistics operations are meeting expectation and to identify areas of variance requiring attention and correction; implement corrective action as appropriate. Monitors the performance and makes adjustments as necessary

Continuous improvement:
o Continuously reviews distribution methods, techniques and procedures, service providers & costs in order to proactively initiate changes to supply chain channels & ensure products are warehoused and distributed effectively at least cost, while supporting efficient customer service. Make recommendations to senior management on programs to improve warehousing and logistics
o Lead lean / MyWorkplace Roll out (5S, KPIs management..) and develop Problem solving methodologies
o Leverage Value stream mapping and Supply chain Best practices (stocks, flows, ergonomic, picking …)

Compliance:
o Ensures the warehouses, internal fleet and all processes and procedures are compliant with insurance, legal licensing requirements and with any national, state and local regulations. Ensures quality and food safety requirements are followed for all products during storage, transit, pickup, and delivery. o Ensures safe practices are followed at all times. Immediately address any and all unsafe work conditions

What the company is looking for

  • Professional with a degree in Industrial Engineering, Management or related fields.
  • Master's degree, preferably.
  • English fluency (B2 or higher)
  • Minimum of 10 years of experiencies, and 5 years leading Warehousing in multinational companies.
  • Best practices in safety and continous improvement.
